This week, we got the opportunity to talk to Nameer - Project Manager at Infrateq MEA – and ask him a few questions about the latest project he’s been managing, at Radisson Riyadh Airport in Saudi Arabia.
Hi Nameer! Can you tell us about the project you have been managing at Radisson Blu Riyadh Airport in Saudi Arabia?
– RHG group’s RADISSON brand debut in the kingdom with Radisson Riyadh Hotel Airport. It features 471 rooms that includes duplex rooms and multi-bedroom villas. On top of that the hotel offers large banquets, meeting rooms and auditoriums. The project entrusted with Infrateq was to deliver a complete package from design to delivery for Network, Wi-Fi and Guest In-Room Entertainment solution and ensuring that it lived up to highest standards of Radisson.
Did the project live up to your expectations?
– The hotel was one of the flagship projects for RHG in KSA and Infrateq made sure that all tasks were properly managed from the outset and every milestone set out in the project charter were met without failure!
Were there any unexpected obstacles during the process?
– The obstacles mainly came from the delay in the construction as a direct impact of the pandemic. The main challenge to Infrateq was resource scheduling and mobilization during this difficult period and at the same time making it certain that the health of the workers was given the utmost priority.
In what ways do you think the guests of Radisson will benefit from this project?
– The guests will benefit from the superior quality of Wi-Fi offered throughout the hotel especially in the large meeting rooms and auditorium catering to high-capacity requirements. Top quality entertainment value is provided with TV systems that includes BYOD allowing the guests to cast their favorite programs on to the TV while continuing to use their mobile/laptop for personal usage.
